Disturbed by the deadly effect of polio disease, a renowned Northern Islamic Scholar, Sheikh Dahiru Usman Bauchi, has appealed to residents to always accept polio  immunisation with a view to prolonging of children’s lifespan and making them healthier. Sheikh Bauchi, speaking at the closing ceremony of his 2019 Ramadan Tafsir at Murtala Square, Kaduna, said the fight against Polio virus was not over, as parents and  caregivers must give all to end polio in Nigeria.

 

The scholar pledged to support polio activities and routine immunisation, so as to achieve success in the fight against polio and other children diseases in Nigeria.  He called on Nigerians to report any disease outbreak to concerned authority, with the aim of achieving good healthcare.
