Communique Issued At The End of JOHESU Meeting Held On 2nd November 2016 At The Medical and Health Workers Union Secretariate, Ayuba Wabba House, Abuja

The JOHESU leadership met on the 2nd of November 2016 and discussed on the impending strike action which the ultimatum would elaspe on 3rd November 2016.

At the meeting, we received a court injunction to stop the strike and "since the order was made pending the hearing and determination of the motion on notice which is pending before the court and yet to be heard and determined, it would amount to disobedience of court order to embark on a strike action without that motion being first heard and determined".

Our Legal adviswer was immediately consulted for the way forward and he adviced that our actions be pushed forward while he reacts to the motion legally since the court relied on the Act of the NICN section 20 to support its actions

Further legal action are being put forward by our legal adviser to press home all our other demands. JOHESU therefore pleads with all its  members to keep calm, and await further directives.

Other pending matters were also discussed and decisions taken.

In view of the foregoing the strike action earlier scheduled to start today 3rd November 2016 is hereby put on hold till further notice

Signed
