Joint Health Sector Unions & Assembly of Health Care Professionals Rally Put On Hold

Posted on: Wed 28-01-2015

This is to inform all colleagues that the mass rally scheduled for today (28/01/2015) was put on hold until further notice.

The postponement was necessitated by an intervention from the presidency on the ongoing national strike.

The presidency has apologised to JOHESU on the President's inability to meet with her leaders couple of days ago and a meeting now seems to have been scheduled to hold between the president and JOHESU within the next few days.

The National Executive Officers of AMLSN are following reports of members being cajoled and forced into retreating from the strike. No threat of intimidation shall turn our faces from the struggle.

No Medical Laboratory Scientist shall mortgage his/her dignity because of empty threats. Members are hereby assured that their rights will effectively be defended. We should stick to the national directives for the liberation of our profession, we should collectively remain resolute and determined.

Nobody will trample on our rights while we watch. It is time to bark back.

Thanks.

Signed
Adeyeye Adetunji Tam, National
PRO, AMLSN.
