The Kaduna State chapter of Association of Resident Doctors (ARD) has suspended the indefinite strike it embarked upon on October 2, 2017.
This followed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signed by the state government to commence implementation of their demands by 2018.

The President of the association, Dr. Joseph Natsah said they have resolved to suspend the strike while waiting for the government to fulfill its own part of the agreement. He directed all his members to resume work with immediate effects.
The doctors had embarked on an indefinite strike action over issues bothering on their welfare and quality of health care delivery in the state.
Some of the demands of the association include provision of adequate funding, equipping and staffing of hospitals so as to create a conducive working and living environment for the medical and other health workers as well as patients.
