A doctor and nurse at the Federal Medical Centre in Keffi, Nasarawa state, are suspected to have contracted Lassa fever.
The duo were said to have contracted the virus from a patient who died earlier on Wednesday. The nurse is reportedly in transit to Irua, Edo state, while the doctor is said to be under surveillance.
This development comes three days after two doctors and another nurse were reported to have lost their lives to the virus in Ebonyi state.
The Ebonyi incidents were the first cases under the recent outbreak of the virus in the country.
