Minister of State for Health, Dr. Adeleke Mamora, has cautioned drug manufacturers against producing substandard drugs to curb addiction and drug-related issues in the country.
The minister made the call at an international exhibition on Complete Pharm Manufacturing and 5th Nigeria Pharma Manufacturers Expo 2019, organised by Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Group of Manufacturers Association of Nigeria (PMG–MAN) in collaboration with Fidson Healthcare Plc, in GRA Ikeja, Lagos.
According to Mamora, substandard drugs pose serious insecurity and health hazards among Nigerians. “When a large number of people are involved in substance abuse, the security of the state and the nation at large will be in trouble.”
