The Maternal, Newborn and Child Health Programme (MNCH2) is looking for skilled, creative and enthuslastic individuals to contribute and work within this aynamic five (5)year project.
POSITION: MONITORING, EVALUATION AND VALUE FOR MONEY ADVISOR (1 POSITION)
LOCATIONS: KANO STATE
MNCH 2 is looking for an outstanding Monitoring Evaluation and Value for Money Advisor for a large, DFID-funded Programme on Meternal, Newborn and Child Health in Northern Nigeria. This is a full time position at Kano, Nigeria. The Monitoring, Evalution and Value for monry Advisor will be responsible for the project. He/She will work will the larger team on strengthening services, ward level primary health care and implementing monitoring and evaluation services in Northern Nigeria.
Key Responsibilities
Lead programme monitoring and evalution methodology, evidenced-based decision making, qualitative and quantitative research, management, analysis, and translating results
Monitor data collection, collation, storage, analysis, and reporting ;
Ensure Collected data is utilised in programme implementation;
Assess project progress, identify problems, and bring issues to the attention of relevant parties; and.
Support routine reporting in line withg donor requirements.
Qualifications 
Advanced degree in Public Health management, social science, or a related field;
Minimum 5 years' experience leading M&E for large, donor-funded health programmes;
Demonstrated experience in developing log frames indicators and M&E tooks;
Experience in building  capacity of staff and partners in M&E;
Ability ti work in multidisciplinary teams;
Experience in managing teams is required;
Knowledge of maternal, newborn, and child health, primary health care, and health systems strengthning ;
Experience of working in Nigeria is essential;
Strong interpersonal skills and proven ability to develop and manintain effective working relationships across teams and organizations;
Experience working with DFID funded programs is preferred;
Experience in Valuw for money assessment and tracking and;
Excellent wrritten and spoken English a must.
