Medical Lab Scientist Vacancies at Eastern & Western Hospital

Eastern & Western Hospital located at Jabi Abuja. The hospital is relatively new, at 2 years age, but with fast development. We offer services such as general medicine, alternative medicine , Laboratory test, ultrasound scan.

We are recruiting to fill the positions below:

Job Title: Medical Lab Scientist

A.    Important requirement:

Able to use Semi-auto Chemistry analyzer, fully-auto Chemistry analyzer, microbiology equipment such as incubator, microscope.

Able to do malaria microscope test.

B.    Roles and Responsibilities:

1.     Collect blood or tissue samples from patients, observing principles of asepsis to obtain blood sample.

2.     Perform all tasks, duties and tests related to laboratory services

3.     Validate and report results of tests performed. Able to meet turn around time to deliver the report.

4.     Perform quality control, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting protocols to ensure proper functioning of instruments, reagents, procedures, etc

5.     Research and develop new procedures as required by the situation.

Job Requirements:

Min required experience: At least 3 years working experience

Min qualification: Bachelor's Degree/HND

Other Requirements:

Must be registered with practicing license.

Computer and smart phone email literate.

Knowledge in use of Standard Operating Procedures in the field.

 

Skills and Qualities:

Aptitude for biology and chemistry.

Patience, decisiveness and meticulousness.

A desire to contribute to patient care and treatment.

A responsible and mature approach to their work.

Excellent computer skills.

Accuracy, with good attention to detail.

A systematic approach to tasks and the ability to follow instructions and set procedures.

Ability to work as part of a team.
