The Kaduna State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board yesterday commenced medical screening of the state’s intending pilgrims for this year’s Hajj to ascertain their health status before the journey.
A statement by the board’s Public Relations Officer, Yunusa Muhammad Abdullahi, said that the medical screening was obligatory for all the intending pilgrims from the state and female pilgrims would in addition undergo pregnancy test. “The medical and pregnancy tests are compulsory, so any pilgrim who does not attend it can lose his or her Hajj seat”, the statement said.
The statement advised intending pilgrims to collect medical cards from their respective registration officers before going to the hospitals for the screening.
