The Acting Registrar/ CEO Medical Laboratory Science Council Nigeria Mr Tosan Erhabor earlier today met with the staff of Health Records Registration Board of Nigeria who are at the Council’s headquarters for a one week training on the oversight functions and modus operandi of the Council.
While welcoming the guests Acting Registrar said the Health Record Registration Board had a long-standing relation with the Council, and advised them to take the training serious so as not to justify the trust of their organization “truancy is not allowed here”. he warned adding that Council had also played host to other bodies / agencies in and outside the country that to understudy its activities “That shows we are doing the right thing” Erhabor noted that by June this year a delegation from the Republic of Cameroun will be coming to the Council on a similar mission as they would want to kick start their own regulatory body in that country.

While speaking earlier the leader of the delegation Mr Usman Umar Kassim, a Record Officer said that the Council was chosen for the training because of its track record of being a world class regulatory body as the board would want to tap from its vast experience and knowledge in order to run their system effectively.
The weeklong training will amongst other topics center on licensing, exams, monitoring and evaluation, accreditation, inspection education and so on.
