The Chairman of the Governing Board of National Hospital, Abuja, Mrs Patricia Etteh, has appealed to the Federal Government to provide  funds  for the rehabilitation of  dilapidated infrastructure in the hospital. The former Speaker of the House of Representatives made the call  at  the 20th anniversary celebration of the hospital in Abuja on Wednesday.

She said,  “While we are deeply appreciative of the FG’s efforts, we wish to solicit  more funding  to help address the challenges of old and dilapidated infrastructure and biomedical equipment.”

Etteh said despite the challenges, the hospital recorded modest achievements with the inauguration of the National Cancer Centre, upgrade and expansion of the executive private wing for personalities  admitted to  the hospital, provision of Lunac Machine and CT Scanner.
