The New Medical Director, Federal Medical Centre, Abeokuta, Prof. Adewale Musa, has promised to address workers’ welfare as he assumes office.
A statement on Tuesday said that Musa was one of the 13 chief executives of Federal Medical Centres and Teaching Hospitals recently appointed by Acting President Yemi Osinbajo. In his maiden address to the members of staff of the FMC Abeokuta, Musa promised to run an open door administration, assuring them that their welfare would be of utmost concern to him.
“Let me assure you that the good days are here in this centre. I want to assure you that your sufferings are over. I looked at your core values and found that it was silent on your welfare; it shouldn’t be like that. I will work to ensure that a conducive and enabling working environment is made available to you,” he said.
The new MD solicited the cooperation of the entire members of staff, noting that the task of repositioning the centre for improved health care services was a joint work.
