The National Health Insurance Scheme, (NHIS), and other stakeholders in Benue State have deliberated on ways to enable Nigerians access affordable healthcare.
The State Coordinator of NHIS, Dr. Salawudeen Sikiru during the one-day interactive forum organised by the Scheme in Makurdi, explained that the meeting became imperative because most stakeholders are not conversant with its operational guidelines.
Sikiru expressed satisfaction at the end of the forum over questions raised and issues dealt with.
Also, the Zonal Coordinator of NHIS, Central B, Hajiya Asmau Mohammed, dissected the prospects and challenges of the scheme and encouraged participants to further disseminate the information obtained to their various organisations.
