The NOC wishes to thank the entire members of NMA for having time to discuss the events surrounding 2016 election of NMA Lagos State. The NOC shares in the feelings and worries of members on the development in Lagos.
The NOC views election as a democratic process of change of leadership aimed at producing leaders who can move an organisation forward through the voice of majority and respect for opinion of minority but not as a do or die affair. The NOC therefore wishes to call on STAKEHOLDERS AND ELDERS of NMA to prevail on the two factions of Lagos NMA to see reasons and toy path of peace and unity in the interest of not only members of NMA Lagos but the entire Doctors in the country.
This development has added a negative image to the way public view us.
On our part while calling for dialogue the NOC is consulting widely and also looking at constitutional issues surrounding the whole processes and will uphold consitutional provision in the interest of peace, justice and fairness. It is our hope that at the end of the whole process NMA Lagos and NMA in general will come out stronger.
Signed:
Dr. Mike O. Ogirima President
Dr. Yusuf Tanko Sununu Secretary General
