Please recall that the 62nd National Council on Health (NCH) Meeting had been earlier scheduled to hold from 24th - 28th June, 2019 at Asaba, Delta State.

As you are aware, President Muhammadu Buhari has dissolved his cabinet and directed the Honourable Ministers to handover to the Permanent Secretaries of their respective Ministries. It is also very probable that the newly elected and re-elected Governors will reshuffle their cabinets by appointing new Commissioners.

Considering the composition of membership of the Council and the need for Ministers and Commissioners to get acquainted with the workings of the health system before participating in the NCH meeting, I am directed to inform you of the postponement of the 62nd NCH meeting. While regretting any inconvenience caused by this, kindly note that a new date will be communicated to you in due course.

Please be reminded to forward your memos (not more than 2) and status of implementation of the resolutions of the 60th and 61st NCH meetings to the NCH Secretariat for TMC consideration on or before Tuesday 18th June, 2019.
