As more government owned institutions continue to reel out vacancies for Housemanship and internship positions, Nurses have pleaded with the Minister of Health to order Chief medical directors, Medical directors and heads of regulatory bodies and agencies to include nurse interns in their adverts

You would recall that Medicalworldnigeria.com had published intern adverts excluding NURSES from the university of ilorin teaching hospital, Irrua specialist teaching hospital, university of portharcourt teaching hospital, Ekiti state university teaching hospital, Olabisi onabanjo university teaching hospital, Chukwuemeka odumegwu ojukwu university teaching hospital etc

Nurse Jennifer Emelue who spoke with Medicalworldnigeria noted that the national council on establishment at its 39th meeting in july 2016 approved  a one year internship program for graduate nurses in the service. She pleaded with the honourable minister of health professor Isaac Adewole to mandate heads of institutions to include the post of nurse interns in further advertisements for internship positions in various federal health institutions in the country.
