Anambra State Governor, Chief Willie Obiano has laid the foundation stone for the construction of the League Medical and Mental Health Hospital in the state.
The brief but very significant foundation stone laying event held recently at the project site at Okoti Odekpe, Ogbaru Council Area. The project would be fully sponsored by the American Catholic League through the Nigerian Catholic League, and entails a medical and mental hospitals that will situate on a five hectares of land donated by the Odekpe Community.

It was attracted by Rev Father John Ugobueze under his outreach ministry to provide bodily and mental healthcare aside its spiritual ministry to the people.
Performing the ground breaking, Gov Obiano who noted that health constitutes a key enabler in his administration’s wheel of development, said the project has a lot of prospects for the economy of the state as it would be entirely funded by the American Catholic League.
He expressed happiness that the project has huge potentials of creating both direct and indirect employment opportunities for youths in the community as well as provide support services to other health facilities around.
