Job Title: Occupational Hygienist

Cadre: Senior Officer / Supervisory 

 

Objectives:

To identify, assess health hazards in the workplace and develop control strategy.

Key Job Responsibilities

Conduct Walk Through Surveys to identify and evaluate hazardous conditions and practices in equipment, systems, products, and facilities.

Conduct Health Impact Assessment to examine the probability and severity of accidents and illnesses that may result from hazardous practices and harmful exposure

Design methods to control hazards, such as engineering controls, administrative controls, and protective equipment and evaluate the progress of control systems after their implementation

 

Requirements:

First Class or Second Class Upper (First Degree) in relevant Biological Sciences disciplines

Additional Qualification/Certification in Occupational Hygiene (eg. M.Sc Occ. Hygiene, PGD Occ. Hygiene)

Certification/Membership of relevant professional body.

NYSC Completion/Exemption Certificate

Applicants must not be more than 34 years of age as at 31st December, 2018.

Applicants must have Minimum of 6 years relevant post qualification experience .

Experience in the oil and gas industry will be an added advantage.

Health Risk Assessment (HRA).
