It is my singular honour to welcome all Paediatricians, Paediatric Nurses and delegates from across the globe to the 46th Annual General and Scientific Conference of Paediatric Association of Nigeria (PANCONF 2015) holding at Abakaliki, Ebonyi State Nigeria.

 

The Theme of PANCONF 2015 is “MDGs and the Invisible Nigerian Child: How far so far?” with sub-themes on Newborn Health, Community Case Management, Social Issues on Adoption. There will also be pre-conference workshops on Neonatal Resuscitation Training (NRT), Basic Life Support (BLS)/Paediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and Research, Ethics and Grantmanship.

The year 2015 is the target year for the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs). It is already here with us. PANCONF 2015 will focus on MDGs: What progress have been made. What are the challenges? What are the implications for the excluded and invisible Nigerian Children?

 

PANCONF 2015 promises to be exciting. Over 2000 participants are expected from within and outside the country. There will be plenary sessions, breakfast sessions, symposia, workshops and scientific sessions for paper presentation. Many pharmaceutical companies that deal on child health products are expected and they will expose participants to new innovative products.

 

Apart from attending the scientific programs delegates will have opportunities to visit interesting sites in Ebonyi. Very importantly, there are minimal security concerns. You will definitely have a good time. We look forward to spoiling you a little.
