PCN Registrar holds Townhall Meeting with Pharmacists in Ondo State

The Registrar Pharmacists Council of Nigeria, Pharm. NAE Mohammed on Thursday 9th March 2017 held a townhall meeting with Pharmacists in Ondo State at Akure the state capital. The town hall meeting was graced by the Director of Pharmaceutical Services, Ministry of Health Akure , the PSN Chairman Ondo State, the National Vice Chairman ACPCN and many other prominent Pharmacists in the Sunshine State.
 
Issues discussed include poor remuneration and stagnation/non-promotion of Pharmacists in FMC Owo, Non payment of professional allowance for Pharmacists in the academia and high import tariff on API for Pharmaceutical manufacturers.
 
 
Other issues discussed include satellite Pharmacy, Online Registration and renewal of licences for 2017, MCPD, Pharmacist Directorship of Pharmaceutical companies, Pharm.D, recognition of the fellowship program of the West African Postgraduate College of Pharmacists  and the proposed Pre- registration board examinations for new Pharmacy graduates by the PCN.
 
Highpoint of the occassion was the presentation of the Products registered for importation to the Registrar  by the Sunshine CooPharm, a company owned by PSN Ondo State Branch. The three products are Metformin Tablets 500 mg, Methyldopa tablets 250mg and Artemether Lumefantrine by 6 tablets.
