The Permanent Secretary, Federal Ministry of Health, Mrs. Binta Adamu- Bello, has visited NAFDAC head quarter in Abuja on familiarization tour as part of her oversight function to the agencies.
Speaking during the interactive session with the management and staff of the agency, the Permanent Secretary called on them to align with the Change Agenda of the present Administration.
Mrs. Adamu- Bello noted that there were a lot of reforms taking place in the Health sector led by the Hon. Minister, Prof. Isaac Adewole and Minister of State, Dr. Osagie Ehanire, basically to improve the health of Nigerians.
She pointed out that staff welfare was paramount to her, she assured that the Ministry would take care of its staff to motivate them to exhibit high professionalism in the service .
She therefore charged them to be effective and efficient in discharging their duties and responsibilities as well as in all their dealings with the public. She stressed that there was need for attitudinal change by adopting the Present Administration’ s change slogan ‘’ change begins with me”.

Mrs Adamu – Bello advised the Acting, Director – General of NAFDAC, Mrs Yetunde Oni, to collaborate with the developmental partners and other stakeholders related to the Agency to embark on execution of projects like establishing a standard Laboratory in Abuja.
In her welcome address, the Acting, Director- General of NAFDAC, Mrs Yetunde Oni, appreciated the Permanent Secretary for visiting NAFDAC Headquarters. She pointed out that since the inception of the Agency, Mrs Adamu – Bello was the first Permanent Secretary to visit NAFDAC Headquarters.
The Acting, DG later led the Permanent Secretary and her entourage to inspect the facilities at the NAFDAC Headquarters.
