Pharmacist to Grab N1m in PSN Integrity Award

The Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria (PSN) has inaugurated a committee for Biogenerics integrity award for Pharmacists in public hospitals in Nigeria.
 
PSN President, Ahmed Yakasai, said Biogenerics Nigeria Limited made a commitment of N1m prize for the PSN integrity committee award 2018 with the aim of graduating to N5m in coming years which will cover all the technical groups of PSN.
 
The award, he said, will be an annual prize, with the maiden edition this year. The aim of this prize is to promote more integrity in the Nigerian pharmaceutical landscape.
 
Members of the committee include Pharm. (Dr) Mrs. Dere Awosika, FPSN (Chairman); Pharm. (Sir) Ifeanyi Atueyi, FPSN (Vice Chairman); Pharm. (Dr.) Ifeanyi Okechukwu (Secretary); Pharm. Martins Oyewole (Member); Pharm. Tijanni Yahaya Hamza (Member) and Pharm. (Mrs) Chinyere Osakwe (Member).
 
Yakasai stressed that pharmacists remain men and women of integrity and would shun any unethical practice. He spoke against the backdrop of the raging national debate over codeine abuse which prompted the ban on the importation of the substance by the Federal Government.
