The Association of Community Pharmacists of Nigeria, ACPN, has expressed worry over rate of drug abuse in the society and called on relevant stakeholders to rise to the task of ridding the society of the menace.
The Association, hosting over 100 multinational and local pharmaceutical manufacturers and importers in a week-long exhibition, products launch and presentation at its 36th annual national conference in Jos, insisted that awareness creation will minimise the trend. Addressing journalists in Jos, National Chairman of the Association, Mr. Kelong Alkali, explained that the conference, which will bring together 1,000 community pharmacists, pharmaceutical scientists, researchers and investors, will discuss the way forward in tackling the issue.
At the end of the conference, the Association will de-worm secondary school students in the state.
