Eastern & Western Hospital located at Jabi Abuja. The hospital is relevantly new, at 2 years age, but with fast development. We offer general medicine service and alternative medicine together.

Position: pharmacy technician 

Location: Jabi Abuja

Requirement:

1.     Female only

2.     Proven experience as a pharmacist

3.     Thorough understanding of dosage administration and measurement, chemical compounds, medical brands etc.

4.     Outstanding knowledge of MS Office and Pharmacy information systems (eg. MediTech, Mediware etc.)

5.     Good organizing skills:

6.     Excellent communication skills with a customer-oriented approach

7.     Integrity and compassion

8.     Degree in Pharmacy/Pharmacology or any related field of studies

Job brief & Responsibilities:

A.    Pharmacy Technician

The job entails a high level of responsibility and knowledge. A pharmacist does not merely hand out prescribed medicine; he/she has the expertise and willingness to assist people and provide them with information and solutions.

1.      Reviewing and executing physician’s prescriptions checking their appropriateness and legality

2.      Organizing the pharmacy in an efficient manner to make the identification of products easier and faster

3.      Maintaining full control over purchasing, stocking, labeling and dispensing medicine and other products, and monitor their condition to prevent expiring or deterioration

4.      Maintain full control over delivering, stocking and labeling medicine and other products

5.      Listen carefully to customers to interpret their needs and issues and offer information and advice

6.      Provide assistance other medical services such as injections, blood pressure/ temperature measurements etc.

7.      Prepare medicine when appropriate using correct dosages and material for each individual patient

8.      Keep records of patient history and of all activities regarding heavy medication

9.      Keep abreast of advancements in medicine by attending conferences and seminars and collaborating with other healthcare professionals
