Okam, an obstetrician and gynaecologist, was accused of criminally defaming Uzoma, a paediatrician and former General Secretary of the Association of Resident Doctors, UNTH, by alleging that he forged a First Bank statement of account of the association, which was said to be false.

It was gathered that the doctor had broadcast the said falsehood in the hospital and posted it on several WhatsApp platforms, that of the Enugu West NMA and the National Association of Resident Doctors, South-East caucus, that Ossai “forged the ARD statement of account and attached scanned logo and signature of First Bank.”
