Provide Quality Service, LASUTH Pharmacy HOD Tells Pharmacists

Pharmacists have been tasked to keep providing patients with quality service despite the present harsh economic situation.
 
The Head of Pharmaceutical Department, Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH), Mr. Chukwura Henry, made this call during the LASUTH 2016 Pharmacy Week held at the hospital last week.
 
Speaking on the theme of the day which is, ‘Qualitative Pharmaceutical Care in a Challenging Economy’, the HOD said there was need to improve on service delivery.
 
“There’s need for continuous improvement in our services. We need to revisit forcekey personnel performances, with view to meeting our corporate vision, mission and core values. We need to critically evaluate the quality of our services with a view to identifying gaps and proffering practical solutions on the way forward”, he said.
 
In his remarks, The Director of Clinical Services, Dr. Ayoade Adedokun, representing the Chief Medical Director, Prof Wale Oke, commended the efforts of the Pharmacy department over the years and encouraged them to keep the good work going, even with the present situation of the economy.
 
Also, the MD and CEO Merit Pharmaceuticals Ltd, Dr. Lolu Ojo, in his key note address charged the pharmacists to prioritize the welfare of the patients over every other thing.
