A warm greetings to graduates (BNSC, MSCN, PhD) of Department of Nursing Science, Obafemi Awolowo University. I hope this meets you well. 

 

On behalf of the Nursing Alumni Relation Committee of the department, I write to inform you of the Grillo Memorial Lecture which is an annual event of the College of Health Sciences, OAU. This lecture is in honour of the pioneering Lecturer of the College in the person of Professor T. A. I. Grillo. 

 

The lecture also serves as the opportunity for Alumni of the College (Nurses, Doctors, Physiotherapists and others) from all walks of life to gather at OAU to share pleasantries and affirm the philosophy of the College of Health Sciences inter-professional medical education. 

 

This year Grillo Memorial Lecture will come up on Thursday, 23rd May, 2019 at 9.am. 

 

The lecture will be delivered by one of our great Alumni in the person of Dr. Stella Iwuagwu, Founder and Executive Director, Centre for the Right to Health (CRH), Abuja, Nigeria. She will be delivering a lecture entitle ‘Health Professionals as Patients’ Rights Defenders’ and a workshop on this title will come up on Wednesday 22nd May, between  at 2pm and 4pm. 

 

It is essential that all Nursing Alumni are available for the programme and to also support her as our very own. 

 

 

Please, note that, there shall be an inauguration of the OAU Nursing Alumni Association on Wednesday, 22nd May, immediately after the workshop and this will be followed by a cocktail party. 

 

This message is an invitation to every OAU Nursing Alumnus to be part of this landmark event. Please, inform your friends, colleagues, relations who are OAU Nursing Alumni to be part of this event.
