Job Description

Diagnostic radiographer must be able to use the following technologies:

 

1.  X-rays - looking through tissue to examine bones, cavities and foreign objects;

2. Fluoroscopy - creates real-time images to show movement;

3. Angiography - takes x-rays of blood vessels;

4. Computed tomography (CT) - creates images of cross-sections of the body;

5. Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) - builds a 2D or 3D map of different tissue types within the body using magnetism; www.medicalworldnigeia.com

 

Job Responsibilities

1. Performing a range of radiographic examinations on patients to produce high-quality images;

2. Observing and maintaining contact with patients during their waiting, examination and post-examination stay in the department;

3. Assisting in more complex radiological examinations working with radiologists and

4. Recording imaging identification and patient documentation quickly and accurately and observing protocols to ensure compliance with the Data Protection Act and 5. patient confidentiality

 

Qualifications

a. B.Sc Medical Radiography

b. Required Licenses/Certifications

c. Registered with RRBN

d. Provision of practicing License is Mandatory

e Post NYSC Experience
