OFFICE/DEPARTMENT: A FOGARTY Study on Caries/Oral Microbiome Study in Benin

SCHEDULED WORK TIMES: Monday - Friday

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Experience:

Minimum requirement is Basic Nursing/ Midwifery Training

Previous experience working in a research oriented environment is a plus

Additional qualifications including degrees in Nursing, MPH etc. is a plus

Working experience in a research environment will be an advantage

Good organizational skills

Good computer skills

Excellent communication skills

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

The Interviewer is responsible for but not limited to:

Assessing the eligibility of potential participants through methods such as screening interviews, review of medical records, and discussions with physicians, nurses and laboratory staff.

Implements, collects and maintains data collection of all forms of research data.

Ensures the smooth and efficient day-to-day operation of research (including sample and data collection)

Recruits, instructs and coordinates research participants (this includes seeking informed consent)

Acts as the primary administrative point of contact for local clinical and laboratory staff (this includes physicians, dentists, nurses etc.)

Ensures that standard operative procedures are adhered to.

Communicates updates on a regular basis to UBTH and UMB investigators within a weekly meeting. Coordinate the labeling, collection, storage and transfer of samples related to the study while maintaining a complete laboratory database.
