The North Central Caucus of the National Association of Resident Doctors (NARD) North Central Caucus has decried the condition of medics in Nigeria, especially the indebtedness of state governments to them that ranged from six to 14 months of non-payment of salaries. Consequently, the professionals threatened to down tools if the situation at the state level does not improve urgently.
Briefing newsmen yesterday in Abuja, NARD Caucus Leader, Dr. Agbo Ede, regretted that the situation had become unbearable for doctors. He called on the Nigerian Governors Forum to address the breakdown of health service delivery in state-owned hospitals.
