The Global Fund is a 21st-century partnership organization designed to accelerate the end of AIDS, tuberculosis and malaria as epidemics, Founded in 2002, the Global Fund is a partnership between governments, civil society, the private sector and people affected by the diseases. The Global Fund raises and invests nearly US$4 billion a year to support programs run by local experts in countries and communities most in need. Since 2003, the Global Fund has invested more than 1.4 billion dollars in the fight against AIDS, TB and Malaria in Nigeria.

To strengthen this operations and interventions in the country, we are partnering with Achieving Health Nigeria Initiative (AHNi) to fill the capacity below:
 
Job Title: Senior Program Officer (Key Population)

Job Description
Under the supervision of the Deputy Project Director, the Senior Program Officer provides support to the GF portfolio to coordinate the work of the AHNI/Nigeria field offices
S/he will support program planning, design, review and the monitoring of the program implemented at the zonal level, assists in strengthening a system of reporting Key Population (MSMs, FSWs, PWIDs) Programming strategies, subproject documents, work plans and budgets at the country office, zonal and SR levels.
 
Minimum Recruitment Standards
  • BS/BA Degree in Public Health, Health Sciences, Sociology, Psychology, Other behavioural Sciences or its equivalent with 5-7 years experience working in development programs at community level with at least 3-5 years experience with HIV/AIDS program planning and implementation working with public and NGO sectors required
  • Or MBBS Degree or MS/MA/MPH Degree or its recognized equivalent with 3 - 5 years worrkng experience in the above stated disease intervention program.
