Dear Colleague,
As the year draws to a close, we would like to thank you for your support. Our federation links four million pharmacists, pharmaceutical scientists and pharmacy educators around the world, working to advance global health and to improve access to and responsible use of medicines through pharmacy.
Our profession-enhancing reports and statements in 2018 included:
* “Pharmacists in the supply chain: The role of the medicines expert in ensuring quality and availability”
* “Use of medicines adherence by the elderly: The role of pharmacy in promoting adherence”
* “Pharmacists supporting women and responsible use of medicines”
* “Pharmacy workforce intelligence: Global trends report”
* “Pharmacist’s role in harm reduction”
* “Pharmacist’s authority in pharmaceutical product selection”
Next year, some of our focuses will include: the contribution of pharmacy in primary health care through immunisations, self care and the management of non-communicable diseases; our impact on patient safety; innovations and technology; and transforming the workforce.
We wish you a happy and healthy 2019 and look forward to your continuing support.
