The Taraba State government will award scholarships to its students in higher institutions across the country including medical students who will receive N20,000 each.
Special Adviser to Governor Darius Ishaku on students’ Affairs, Mr. Samson Musa, who disclosed this in Jalingo, said the state scholarship board would register 25,000 students in 107 institutions for the bursary awards. He said registration exercise would end in June and medical students would be paid N20,000, science students would get N7,500, arts students N6,000 while NCE and diploma students would receive N5,000 and N4,000 respectively.
The number of awards per student per annum was not stated.
