TITLE: TEMPORARY/LOCUM CONSULTANT IN GENERAL SURGERY WITH SPECIAL INTEREST IN COLOPROCTOLOGY AND BARIATRICS SURGERY

KASI Healthcare is looking for a Locum Consultant in general surgery with special interest in Coloproctology and Bariatrics Surgery to join our cohesive and enthusiastic team of consultants in diverse area of medicine.

The contract will be for 3 PA's per week. Six hours (6hrs) for Each PA

Salary Package: N250, 000 – N1, 000,000

Essential job functions include but are not limited to:

·         Diagnoses and treats diseases and disorders of anus, rectum, and colon.

·         Diagnoses diseases and disorders utilizing techniques, such as discussion of symptoms and medical history with patient, instrumental inspection of rectum and colon, examination of diagnostic images of affected parts, and evaluation of laboratory test results.

·         Prescribe preoperative and postoperative treatments and procedures, such as sedatives, diets, antibiotics, and preparation and treatment of the patient's operative area.

·         To perform endoscopy of the rectum and colon, treat hemorrhoids, fistulas and fissures, inflammatory bowel disease, Crohn’s disease, polyps, benign tumors and colorectal and anal malignancies with laser technology and other surgical technique.

·         The surgeon must be able to perform common bariatric surgery procedures like gastric bypass, sleeve gastrectomy, adjustable gastric band, and biliopancreatic diversion with duodenal switch and assist with nutrition counseling, hernia repairs, and surgeries relating to cancer.

 

Requirements

·         Candidates should possess MBBS, FWACS or its equivalent

• Completion of approved Residency in Coloproctology.
• Candidates must possess a minimum of 3 years post-Fellowship experience.
• Candidates must be fully registered with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria.
