TITLE: TEMPORARY/LOCUM CONSULTANT OTOLARYNGOLOGIST WITH SPECIAL INTEREST IN LASER SURGERY

KASI Healthcare is looking for a Locum Consultant Otolaryngologist to join our cohesive and enthusiastic team of consultants in diverse area of medicine.

The contract will be for 3 PA's per week. Six hours (6hrs) for Each PA

Salary Package: N250, 000 – N1, 000,000

Essential job functions include but are not limited to:

·         The otolaryngologist is responsible in receiving patients with certain disabilities relating to ear, nose and throat. Ultimately, he will examine patients and performs various physical tests or procedure in order to determine their health problem.

 

·         He will also be responsible in diagnosing diseases or injuries of the ear, nose, throat, pharynx, sinuses, larynx, thyroid, oral cavity, salivary glands and esophagus. Diseases including viral, yeast infections or bacterial infections and also tonsillitis common in children which he will attend to on daily basis.

 

·         He will examine affected organs with the use of equipment such as x-ray machines, fluoroscopes, microscopes, nasoscopes, prisms, and audiometers to determine the nature and severity of the disorder, and prescribe medications or conduct surgery.

 

·         He will also perform tests to find out the severity of hearing or speech loss due to diseases or injuries; perform reconstructive surgery to treat birth defects; remove benign and malignant tumors of the face and neck; install cochlear implants; and treat sleep disorders.

 

Requirements

 

·         Candidates should possess MBBS, FWACS or its equivalent.

·         Candidates most have a Fellowship in Otolaryngology

·         Candidates must possess a minimum of 3 years post-Fellowship experience

  • Candidates must be fully registered with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria.
