The MacTay Group is recruiting on behalf of one of our clients, a globally renowned medical healthcare provider. The Group is headquartered in the UAE and with its presence of about 25 years in Nigeria operates businesses in the manufacturing, distribution, logistics and services industries.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Chief Executive Officer

Location: Lagos (Can be transferable anywhere in world)
Position /Grade: CEO
Reporting to: Group CEO / Director Healthcare
Reporting into: Reporting officers - COO, Lab Director, Finance, HR etc.

Position Objectives

• Key resource to develop & implement Business Strategy
• Delivering agreed results through - coordination of operations & people motivation
• Responsible for analyzing & implementation of growth plans
• Team leadership
• Governance - Works closely with the Board on strategy and compliance.
• Ensures legal compliance with applicable regulations
• Brand ambassador for the Company.

• Finance bodies & banks

Key Deliverables: 3-yr: 2015-17

Business Today:

• Develop detailed business and growth targets
• Set up and develop leadership in sales and customer service
• Demonstrate capacity to handle process based operations leadership
• Ability to show continuous improvement through focus on QA.
• Deliver results as per agreed plan

Business Tomorrow:

• Develop growth strategy in larger healthcare business area
• Present the feasibilities & be able to present to Board for approval
• Implement the growth strategy

Sustainability:

• Build second line of leadership
• Ensure a comprehensive & professional process is embedded for all aspects of business operations

Risk Management:

• Develop good relationships with competition, Govt. and statutory/ regulatory bodies
• Seek to understand changes that will impact the business in advance
• Set up and lead the process to periodically review these risks and take appropriate actions

Requirements
Personal Profile:

• Age: 30- 40 years old, but we will not limit the search by this range
• Any nationality, preferable African
• Qualifications: Medical Doctor/ PhD in Laboratory Technology or Clinical Laboratory Science etc. with an MBA or equivalent Administration and/or Corporate management experience
• Profit centre experience is needed in leading a healthcare facility or division - hospitals/ pathology lab chain (minimum 5 years)
• Experience: Previous experience of setting up Laboratory / Diagnostics Centre and developed automation of the laboratory; implement LIMS and PACS interface etc will be an asset. Work experience in Africa/Nigeria essential - International exposure will be an added advantage
• Network: Top-level network in the medical and diagnostics industry and, especially with various equipment suppliers

Search Criteria

• Experience with reputed hospitals / laboratories
• Companies rendering similar services

Personal Skill Set

• Excellent presentation and English communication skills
• Advance IT skills of MS Office, Internet and computer.
• Business leadership
• Demonstrable business savvy and capacity to manage a team
• Ability to deliver sales & service leadership and be an industry expert
• Self-starter and driven by excellence

Salary
Depending on the candidate & as per company policy. Will not be a limitation for deserving candidate.
