A 10-day training on Drug Abuse Treatment and Management was held recently. Facilitators from Colombo Plan an International Centre for Credentialing and Education for Addiction Professionals (ICCE) based in USA were in the hospital where they trained 30 medical professionals from within and outside the hospital as substance abuse treatment providers.

 

At the end of the 10-day training programme, the participants were given Pre-test and Post-test. They will be certified and credentialed after the circle four course programme.

 

This is the first of such training in Nigeria.

 

 

The course however will run in four circles thus:

 

Circle One: -      July   17th – 27th, 2017

 

Circle Tow: -      Oct   16th – 26th, 2017

 

Circle Three: -   Jan   15th – 25th, 2018

 

Circle Four: -     April 16th – 26th, 2018

 

At the end of the four circles, the now trainers will be qualified to work in collaboration with the Colombo plan US.
