The 18 pioneer graduating students from the College of Health Sciences, University of Abuja, have been urged to make their patients’ health their priority and not their pockets.

The pioneer Provost of the College, Prof. Joseph Otubu, speaking at the induction ceremony at the weekend urged the graduands to shun acts that will put material interest above the need to serve humanity.

“There is self-advertisement, over-pricing of medical services, deceit of patients to extort money and service charges. I can only plead to you to avoid these practices, which are only part of the general mentality to get ‘rich quick,” he said.

In his remark, Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof. Michael Adikwu, expressed concern over the delay that chareterised the programme, which he as dreary and weary.
