The Human Resources Office is responsible for providing a full range of personnel services for American and Locally Employed Staff (LES) members. The HRO is responsible for implementing HR policies and procedures for the American diplomatic Mission Nigeria. The HRO provides guidance on all HR related programs

POSITION TITLE: Physician, FSN-12/FP-03
OPENING DATE: July 9, 2013

WORK HOURS: Part-time; 20 hours/week 
SALARY: OR – Ordinarily Resident–N6,608,675 p.a.(Starting basic salary)
Position Grade: FSN-12
In addition to the basic salary, all allowances will be paid in accordance with the Mission Local Compensation Plan. 
NOR - Not Ordinarily Resident – AEFM - US$76,219
EFM/MOH – US$65,413 (Starting Salary) p.a.
Position Grade: FP-03
BASIC FUNCTION OF THE POSITION:
Incumbent provides medical services to approximately 150 direct hire American employees and approximately 130 dependents of all agencies at post as a primary care physician. S/He sees 400 Foreign Service national employees upon occasion of injury on the job, referring any who become ill at work to their private physicians. The incumbent 
will report to the Foreign Service Health Practitioner at post.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
NOTE: All applicants MUST address each selection criterion detailed below with specific and comprehensive information supporting each criterion or the application will not be considered.
1. M.D. collegiate degree with a license to practice in Nigeria is required.
2. A formal U.S. internship and a minimum of three (3) years of formal residency training or equivalent training as certified by the U.S. Office of Medical Services (M/MED) is required.
3. Level IV (fluent) Speaking/Reading/Writing in English and in the use of professional medical terminology is required.
4. Good working knowledge of Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Pediatric Advances Life Support, Advanced Trauma Life Support, and Emergency Preparedness for 
chemical, biological and radiological situations.
5. Regular attendance of the annual Continuing Medical Education (CME) training and seminars to stay current with medical practice at U.S. and European standards is required.
6. Knowledge and understanding of occupational, safety and health administration regulations and practices in line with U.S. and European standards.
