University Begins Medical Sciences Programme, Gets 104 Staff Approval

Yobe State Governor Ibrahim Gaidam yesterday approved the appointment of a Provost for the State University’s College of Medical Sciences billed to take off soon, and 104 staff employment for the institution.
 
A statement signed by the state Head of Service, Alhaji Dauda Yahaya said the governor had also given approval for the recruitment of three professors, each to head the departments of anatomy, physiology, and biochemistry which will be established in the new Medical Sciences College.
 
The statement added that the governor had approved the recruitment of other 33 personnel, including research fellows, senior lecturers, and lecturers to work in the three departments
 
Dauda Yahaya said that Governor Gaidam had also separately approved the recruitment of 58 academic and 10 non-academic staff for the Yobe State University to boost the institution’s staff strength.
