The Maryland Global Initiative Corporation Nigeria (MGIC) an affiliate of the university of maryland baltimore is a non governmental organization funded by the uS Govt through the CDC. The organization is seeking suitably qualified candidates to work on its recent award on the Nigeria Indicator and Impact Survey (NAIIS) which is a population based HIV impact assessment (PHIA) survey that was developed to enable countries obtain HIV specific indicators including the impact of the expansion of HIV prevention and treatment program to facilitate effective monitorig of national HIV programmes.
Job Description:
Positon: Satelight Health Supply Chain Specialist
Minimum Qualification:
Minimum of a first degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Pharmacy (BPharm) or a related degree
- Certificate in Logistics Management of Health Commodities
Experience: Minimum of two (2) years' work experience in supply chain management working on a donor funded public health program e.g. HIV, Malaria, etc.
Essential Functions: To provide technical and programmatic support to NPHIIA Project in health supply chain management at satellite laboratories in selected health facilities
KEY AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY: The incumbent would be a great team player with high tenacity to deliver in a timely and efficient manner working a various muiti-disapiinary teams
Primary Responsibilities:
1. Ensure best practices in storage and inventory management of health commodities at satellite laboratories in selected health facilities
2. Distribute RTKs and other health commodities to: field and laboratory teams based on distribution schedule or as directed Zonal Health Supply Chain Specialist
3. Ensure timely receipt and review of utilization of consumption reports from the field
4. update and manage a logistic management system for all health commodities at the facility level
5. Provide feedback to field staff at the SDPs assigned on LMIS reports
6. Prepare accurate commodity requirements/ delivery order for commodities and ensure an uninterrupted supply of commodities for program needs
7. Ensure supply chain activities in. SDPs are aligned with the government of Nigeria standard operating procedure
8. Contribute to the identification and documentation of best practices and success stories on the NPHIIA project
9. Support laboratory specialists at assigned health facilities in documentation of commodity utilization and other logistics related issues
10. Any other task as assigned by supervisor
