University of Uyo Teaching Hospital Nabs Impostor, Hands Him Over to Police

A self-claimed Medical Doctor has been arrested at the University of Uyo Teaching Hospital.
 
He is Mr. Edidiong Etim Akpan, a native of Ikot Akpan Oku, Uyo Local Government Area, who claimed to live at No. 2 Ibiam Street, off Ikot Ekpene Road.
 
Edidiong Etim Akpan was arrested today January 16, 2019 following a report by a woman, Nse Matthew he collected fifteen thousand naira (N15, 000) from.
 
The Impostor had tricked the woman to part with the money claiming he would buy card and drugs for her.
 
It all happened that the woman, after giving out the money on Monday January 14, 2019, could not see him again until today Wednesday, January 16, 2019 when she sighted him and raised alarm that led to his arrest.
 
Meanwhile, the Impostor has confessed to collecting the money and promised to pay back.
 
Following this, the University of Uyo Teaching Hospital has promised to continue to discharge its effective service delivery to the public and therefore calls on all to report suspicious activities within its premises to the authorities.
