UPTH Nurses Protest Non Payment Of Uniform Allowance

University of Portharcourt Teaching Hospital nurses today protested against the non payment of their uniform allowance by resuming work dressed in mufties.
 
The healthcare providers say they have been owed payment of their uniform allowance by the hospital management for the past six (6) years from 2012 to 2017.
 
Chairman of the National Association of Nigeria Nurses and Midwives, (NANNM) UPTH Chapter, Comrade Chinda, said nurses resolved to protest the non payment of their uniform allowance by resuming to work today in their mufties and not their uniforms.
 
A source who spoke on condition of annonymousity said “we resorted to go on a protest by appearing at our duty posts in mufti, pending when the management will pay us our uniform allowance.
 
Recall that according to the civil service rule No.130127 nurses and midwives are to be payed uniform allowances.
