UUTH Pledges Continuous Partnership With UNIUYO

The Management of the University of Uyo Teaching Hospital (UUTH) hosting the Faculty of Clinical Sciences of University of Uyo in Akwa Ibom has assured   authorities of the University of its Continued Partnership and cordial relationship.
 
The Chief Medical Director of the Hospital Professor Etete Peters who gave the assurance  when he paid a courtesy visit to the Vice Chancellor of the University of Uyo Professor Enefiok Essien   said that  the Teaching Hospital would  continue to support University of Uyo  in its quest to providing world class  training  for medical Doctors.
 
Professor peters congratulated the Vice- Chancellor on his appointment and commended him on the various achievements recorded since he assumed office.
 
He pledge  his unwavering support toward  making the University a centre of  academic excellence and prayed for Gods wisdom guidance and knowledge upon  staffs and management of the  University in the discharge of their duties.
 
The CMD intimated the Vice -chancellor of some of the challenges confronting the Teaching Hospital ranging from inadequate offices for Doctors, hostel accommodation for student and modern equipment for training facilities.
 
While stressing that all these challenges needed to be addressed in view of the   accreditation exercise coming up soon Professor Peters solicited the assistance of the Vice Chancellor in employment of specialist Doctors to boost the training programmes in the Faculty of Clinical Sciences.
 
The Vice- Chancellor Professor Essien thanked the Management of the University of Uyo Teaching Hospital for the visit.
 
He described the visit as symbolic and promised to assist the Teaching Hospital in it area s of need.
 
Professor Essien assured of his commitment to boosting the services rendered by the Teaching Hospital and pledged to strive to sustain the relationship that has existed  between the University and UUTH.
