Veritas Varsity Begins Law, Medicine programmes

The Vice-Chancellor of Veritas University Abuja, Rev Fr. Prof Hyacinth Ichoku has said the university will be introducing 13 programmes in order to accommodate more students who desire to study in those fields.
 
Ichoku who stated this yesterday at its 7th pre-convocation briefing in Abuja said Law, Theology, and Physiology will commence in September 2019, while courses like Medicine, Engineering and Environmental Sciences will likely commence in 2020/2021 session.
 
He said the university has about 31 undergraduate programmes and 18 postgraduate programme.
 
The don said the varsity which is an idea of Nigerian Catholic Bishops is not just to have a dynamic system but to produce high-quality students that are highly competitive and to inculcate the idea of seeking the truth.
 
The VC said the university will on Saturday graduate 109 undergraduate and 32 postgraduate students of which 10 are first class students and about 46 are second class upper.
