Veterinary Council of Nigeria (VCN) has inducted 46 veterinary doctors from the University of Nigeria (UNN), Nsukka to practice in different fields of the profession in the country and beyond.

The Acting Council’s registrar, Dr. Josiah Kantiyok, while administering professional oath on the inductees, urged them to adhere strictly to the code of conduct and avoid practices of misconduct as any inductee caught for misconduct would lose his or her liecense to the council.

Kantiyok stated this at the 38th oath taking ceremony of the faculty of Veterinary Medicine University of Nigeria, Nsukka held at Princess Alexandra auditorium (PAA) of the university.

He said: “It is this license that is issued that gives the impetus to practice as a veterinary doctor. Any abuse the council would not hesitate to withdraw the license. You would be given veterinary ethics booklet which will guide you as veterinary doctors while in practice.’’
