The Radiographers Registration Board of Nigeria said it did not seal Abuja Clinics Nigeria Limited.
The board stated this in a letter to the Managing Director of Abuja Clinics Nigeria Limited, dated January 24, 2017.
In the letter, signed by the board’s Head of Legal Unit, Chika Ogbueli, for the Registrar/ Chief Executive, the RRBN said it was not aware of a publication which claimed that Abuja Clinics was sealed. “The board never authorised such reports; neither did the board give out any copy of such for the purpose of publication or anything for that matter in the course of performing its statutory duties,” the RRBN said.
The management of Abuja Clinics had in November last year faulted a story, which stated that a clinic was sealed in Abuja.
The Corporate Relations Manager of the hospital, Chinwe Chas-nwam, in a statement in Abuja, had said a publication titled, “FG seals Abuja clinic, arrests fake radiographer,” did not relate with the hospital.
The Corporate Relations Manager said, “The publication is misleading, untrue and does not relate in any way to Abuja Clinics.”
