Women who suffer from fibroids and other related medical health problems have been advised to embrace the latest treatment called Uterine Fibroid Embolization.
Dr. Rajah Koppala, a Vascular Surgeon and Interventional Radiologist, gave the advise during a free medical consultation camp organized by Troika Healthcare in Abuja.
He said the procedure is not only key for effective and permanent cure of fibroids, but would also help ensure that medical tourism for fibroid treatment is reduced. While advising women to take advantage of uterine fibroid embolization to avoid fertility disruption, he said the technology is safe, less painful and not time consuming.
Koppala said uterine fibroid embolization technology would soon be available in Nigeria through partnership with some local hospitals.
The co-founder of Troika Healthcare, Pragya Rathore said the free consultation camp was organized to make quality healthcare services available to indigent Nigerians who cannot afford medical expenses.
