Read More The Federal Medical Centre, Yola was established following an agreement dated, 12th August, 1998 signed between the Federal Ministry of Health and Adamawa State Government to take over the then Yola Specialist Hospital Yola which was a 550 Bed facility. This agreement became a reality on 15th May, 1999 with the commencement of full Clinical Services and continued to serve as a referral facility to other hospitals ( private and public) within the State. However, the Centre finally relocated to its permanent site and commenced services on the 3rd of July 2006 with a 200 bed capacity. The facility is not only fully furnished but provided with state-of-the-art equipment in the theatres, laboratories, radio-diagnosis, Special Care Baby Unit (SCBU), Dialysis Unit etc, which are intended to provide patient-friendly and conducive working environment for its staff.
The Centre today is an epitome of excellence. Its management, which is accessible and transparent, also vigorously pursues a policy of transformation.
