The National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria, NPMCN, has said it graduated no fewer than 4,705 Fellows in different specialties of medicines and dentistry within 35 years of existence even as it called for appropriate funding from the Tertiary Education Trust Fund, TETFUND.
Speaking, ahead 2014 convocation slated for Thursday, the College President, Professor Arogundade Rasheed, said the 4,705 Fellows excluded 16 honorary fellows of the college who were recognised for their various national contributions to the development of health sector since inception
Rasheed said 247 students would be graduated Thursday while distinguished fellowship would be conferred on two eminent fellows for their service to the college and the country.
He explained that the college’s main function was to produce adequate medical and dental specialists of the highest quality, competence and dedication to world class services in teaching, research and health care.
